Sophia will be in the Netherlands for the first time on 28 September 2018, because of a leadership congress in Amsterdam. Enough reason for the NOS to speak to her, to see with their own eyes what the hype is about and to find out whether it is justified. Dubai gets robocops

Dubai doesn't shy away from modern technology. For example, the fire brigade has water jet packs to fight fires from the air and the police in Lamborghini drive with crime prevention software. Now the next step is taken: robocops. The Dubai police recently started using the human-like REEM robot, developed by the Spanish company Pal Robotics. The robot was built at the University of Tokyo. The makers made sure that he looked like a human being as much as possible. He has a skeleton, muscles and even a kind of nervous system.
